This week, Heartland Hope Mission put boots on the ground in Blair, where winds over 130 mph have left entire neighborhoods in ruins. Families have lost homes, possessions, and most painfully the sense of safety we all hold dear.
One survivor told us she had just stepped into another room with her cup of tea when a massive tree crashed through the center of her home, leaving it uninhabitable. Her story is just one of many from people now displaced and unsure where to turn.
Right now our team is delivering critical supplies including totes, cleaning supplies and water. Families also have access to our disaster response center with brand new hygiene items, bedding, clothing, kitchen essentials and household items.
