On 24.03.2022 Natalia came to our foundation with a plea for help! She and her two colleagues are currently caring for 250 cats and dogs. All of these animals were picked up in the neighbourhoods of Sumy, Shostka, Chernigov and Cherkassy.
The animals were victims not only of the war but also of inhumane treatment - their owners left the country without them. They were left to die.
Natalia and her colleagues tried to give the animals away to good hands, but there were no willing adopters.
Natalia has applied to local Ukrainian foundations, but food is disastrously low. She has only managed to get a few kilos.
The animals' entire diet now consists of porridge mixed with kefir once a day. They have no medication, no special food for animals with kidney or stomach problems, no medication for fleas or ticks.
Natalya and I calculate that about 400 kilograms of food need to be collected for so many animals. That's enough for a month and a half.
We are ready to provide transport from Poland to Natalia, as well as volunteers and additional veterinary assistance
