At the heart of our commitment to youth empowerment within our communities, we are proud to launch the "Digital Literacy for Job Creation" campaign a powerful initiative.
Technology is the next game-changer in the lives of Uganda’s youth. This new chapter of our mission uses digital skills and innovation to tackle the same urgent issues we are facing, early teenage pregnancy, school dropouts, and lack of opportunity, especially in the Busoga Region of Uganda. We believe that access to technology is not a luxury it is a right, a lifeline, and a pathway to a brighter future.
Why Digital Literacy?
In a world where everything is going digital, too many young people in Uganda are being left behind. Uganda still ranks low in digital access and literacy, with rural areas like Busoga facing the biggest divide.
But we know that with the right skills and tools, our young people can do more than just survive they can lead, innovate, and transform their communities.
From graphic design to coding, from online freelancing to e-commerce, the digital world offers endless possibilities for employment and creativity. But for our youth to access these opportunities, they need the skills, tools, and spaces to learn.
What We’re Doing
In partnership with Binary Tree USA and Advancing Community Resilience Initiative (ACRI) Uganda, we are setting up a digital empowerment program that will:
Establish community-based computer labs in schools and youth centers
Train young people especially girls in digital literacy, job readiness, and entrepreneurship
Integrate sessions on sexual and reproductive health, life skills, and personal growth
Create safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environments
Support community leaders and educators to own and sustain the program for the long term
A Community-Led Approach for Lasting Impact
We don’t just want to teach digital skills, we want to ignite lifelong transformation.

Our approach ensures that, The computer labs stay in the community owned, maintained, and used beyond our project timeline, Local youth become peer educators and tech ambassadors, inspiring others
Parents, teachers, and local leaders are involved from the beginning building trust and accountability, The project becomes a permanent bridge to opportunity for every child who walks through those doors
Linking to Our Bigger Mission
Just like our football-based program is helping to keep girls and boys in school, delay pregnancy, and build confidence, this digital literacy program will open even more doors because it will make them more busy.
