Democracy Works and the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon

I’m excited to be running the New York City Marathon in support of Democracy Works, an organization dedicated to strengthening and expanding access to voting. Running has become a meaningful part of my life—I’ve completed three half marathons, each in a city I’ve called home, and each one has deepened my commitment to perseverance and community. Beyond running, I’ve also had the opportunity to support a friend in his campaign for town council, which gave me a firsthand look at how important civic engagement is at every level. I am even more excited to be running this with my incredible sister, Gabriella Spina. We have dreamt of running the New York City Marathon together for years, and could not be more grateful for this opportunity. This race is more than a personal milestone for me—it’s a chance to contribute to a cause that helps ensure every voice can be heard. Your support means so much, not just to me, but to the work Democracy Works does every day to make our democracy more accessible and inclusive.
