Democracy Works and the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon

I’m excited (and a little intimidated!) to be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with the Instant Runoffs in support of Democracy Works.

Democracy Works builds tools that help millions of Americans vote with confidence by making election information more accessible and easier to understand. At a time when accurate information matters more than ever, I’m proud to support an organization focused on strengthening participation in our democracy.

Training for a marathon is a big challenge, but knowing each mile also supports this mission keeps me motivated. Our tools, including TurboVote and the award-winning Elections API, reach millions of voters annually. Our data and technology are used by some of the largest platforms in the world, hundreds of civic organizations across the country, and election officials at every level. We also lead the Voting Information Project and the Civic Alliance to expand our impact through collaboration with election officials and the business community.

Running this race with my sister has been a life long goal, and I am so excited to hopefully have voter turnout as large as the NYC Marathon crowds!
