Democracy Works and the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon

Running a marathon is about more than endurance. It’s about showing up, step after step, even when the road feels long. That’s exactly what democracy asks of us, too.

I’m running the 2026 NYC TCS Marathon in support of Democracy Works because I believe participation should never be a privilege reserved for the few. Voting is one of the most powerful ways we shape our communities, yet for millions of people, it isn’t as simple as it should be. Too many people face unnecessary barriers to voting. When people are left out, our democracy is weaker.

Democracy Works is changing that by making voting simpler and more accessible, helping people turn intention into action. Their tools ensure more voices are heard, clearly and confidently. They make it easier for someone to register, understand their options, and actually cast a ballot. In a world full of noise and complexity, clarity matters.

Every mile I run is for a stronger, more inclusive democracy. Your support helps break down barriers and empowers more people to participate. Just like a marathon, democracy works best when we all take part and help one another reach the finish line.
