2 girls and 1 Boy Rescued | ages 3-10
OCTOBER 22, 2025 UPDATE
We helped fund the rescue of three children, ages three to ten, in collaboration with multiple law enforcement agencies and investigative teams.
A national anti-human trafficking unit in Asia received a referral from a European law enforcement agency regarding an individual reportedly involved in the abuse and exploitation of children. In response, the Asian anti-trafficking unit launched an investigation to identify and locate the suspects.
A partner team—supported financially by Daylight United, Remedy Drive’s counter-trafficking initiative, and with whom I’ve spent time in-country on investigative work in the past—worked alongside law enforcement to validate leads, facilitate interagency communication, and provide logistical and field assistance during the operations.
Daylight United’s support contributed to the successful rescue and freedom of multiple children, ranging in age from three to ten. The partner team also assisted in providing care and essential support for the victims following the operation. Multiple traffickers were arrested.
We are careful to withhold specific details about cases like this to protect the survivors and to prevent potential repercussions from trafficking networks, cartels, or other criminal organizations connected to this work. What is beautiful about Daylight United is that we can provide critical funding and support both in the U.S. and around the world, while keeping Remedy Drive out of direct danger—a reality we’ve faced in the past when specific case details were reported too openly.
2 Traffickers Arrested | 3 Boys Rescued
OCTOBER 3, 2025 UPDATE
I recently participated in a sting operation, gathering intelligence on a trafficker from Europe. I worked alongside several teams from different countries, as well as regional anti–human trafficking law enforcement.
I spent several hours face-to-face with the leader of a trafficking network—someone who drugs children and sells them to foreigners. I had to stay in character the entire time, listening as he casually talked about other criminal endeavors he was involved in. Our team built an elaborate backstory to gain his trust. It was one of the most stressful operations I’ve been part of, because winning his confidence and luring him into exposing himself required all of us to stay perfectly aligned and believable.
This operation was especially unique because I was the oldest one there. Many of the people I worked with were in their twenties—spies and operatives from multiple international organizations, all working together with local law enforcement to gather the kind of evidence that will ensure this trafficker and his network can no longer harm young boys.
For most of the team, this was our only interaction together. I only know them by their aliases. After completing our task, we went to a safe house where we spent the night—celebrating the success of the mission and hoping the intelligence we gathered would be enough to put these traffickers away for good.
There’s something indescribable about the bond created in these moments of shared trauma, shared mission, and the weight of knowing that how we do our job will directly impact the freedom and safety of so many young lives.
We may share more details about this particular raid later, but my wife and I want to be careful not to put our family or Remedy Drive at risk, especially since we’ve faced threats following a similar recent operation. The case is ongoing, and prosecution will begin soon.
It was incredibly moving to see the video last night of this man being arrested—handcuffed and taken away. This success represents the courage and hard work of so many brave women and men—and also the generosity of everyone supporting Daylight United to fund this kind of front-line work.
