Thank you for supporting our Day Habilitation (Day Hab) fundraiser this year.
Day Habilitation is a vital program that helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) live and work in the community after they graduate high school. It provides essential services and support, empowering these individuals to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible.
Currently, our Day Habilitation program is located in Brazoria County and serves approximately 30 individuals. However, due to the closure of other facilities in the area, the demand for our services has increased significantly. Unfortunately, we have had to place over 60 people on a waitlist due to the limited size of our facility.
Without Day Habilitation services, individuals with special needs who have "aged out" of the school system often have nowhere to go during the day and no access to educational and vocational opportunities. Your generous support can help us secure a larger facility for our friends, ensuring that no one in need of these services is left out.
