1. Repealing the gas tax with surplus: I believe that we should use the surplus money that is at an all-time high to pay for infrastructure and road repair in rural areas, instead of taxing the hard-working people of our state with an unfair gas tax.
2. Slowing the urban sprawl: I want to encourage investors who build subdivisions and residential communities to invest in the infrastructure around the area, such as roads, schools, parks, and public services. This will help preserve the natural beauty and quality of life in our state.
3. Supporting the state, our state, our rules: I think that we should decide on social issues in our state, not DC. He will stand up for our rights and values and protect our sovereignty from federal interference.
4. I'd like to amend the state constitution to allow the general public to choose judges. South Carolina is one of just two states in the United States in which judges are chosen by the legislature. The public should choose family court judges, circuit court judges, and Court of Appeals judges.
