CZECH LACROSSE NEEDS YOUR HELP TO KEEP GROWING THE GAME IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC!
After the World Championships in San Diego in 2023, and the World Box Championships coming up in September 2024, Czech Lacrosse needs your support! We are representing Czech Lacrosse around the world, both Men's and Women's National Teams, Indoor and Outdoor, Box, Field, and Sixes. Now we plan on turning our attention back home to start new teams and clubs in other parts of the Czech Republic, sharing the game around the country, not just in Prague.
However, due to the costs of the travel and equipment, we are in need of financial support of our friends and family from around the world. We were incredibly successful with our fundraising in the run up to the World Championships last summer, and we want to build on that momentum to help the next generation of Lacrosse players in the Czech Republic discover the game!
The Czech Republic has one of Europe's oldest and most lauded lacrosse programs. We are continuing to build on that legacy of tradition and success with plans to expand even more. The National Box Lacrosse League and the 2023 U20 Women's European Championships show what Czech Lacrosse can do. We need your help to make our development and expansion plans a reality.
Lacrosse is an amateur sport in the Czech Republic. Our veteran players are mothers and fathers, working people. Our rising young stars are university students who's parents can't foot the bill for their sons to have the amazing opportunity to be international athletes at the World Championship level. The next generation of Czech stars are kids using hand-me-down equipment at their local box rink every week.
The Czech Republic has played host to thousands of visiting players from all over the world. If you've ever visited Prague or Radotin for one of our world-famous tournaments like the the Aleš Hřebeský Memorial, Frank Menschner Cup, Prague Cup, or the European and World Championships and others, then you know what this game means to the players in this very special, unique community. We've always had an open door so that the best in the world could come visit and play against Czech players.
