There is truly not enough space here to describe our experience! We relaxed, we laughed, we learned and we experienced! We were blown away (and inspired by) the regenerative agriculture process and the unbelievable hospitality by everyone we encountered on the farm. We felt like we've known them all our lives! - Christy, Hobart, Indiana, July 2024
At Hungry World Farm, we believe the smallest seeds can spark the greatest transformations. Every moment of connection—tasting a tomato grown in healthy soil, witnessing animals regenerating the land, or sharing a meal crafted with local ingredients—plants a seed of curiosity in someone's heart. These seeds ignite a desire to learn more, explore further, and embrace meaningful changes that bring hope to our lives and the planet.
Your support makes it possible for us to create thousands of these small, transformative moments. Together, we have been cultivating connection and harvesting hope in incredible ways:
• Educational Growth: Over 1,400 people were educated on regenerative farming during tours— an increase from just 237 in 2023.
• Farmstay Experiences: More than 1,000 overnight guests experienced farm life, up from only 132 last year, providing revenue to support other farming operations.
• Community Events: We hosted 24 wood-fired pizza nights and 20 breakfast events featuring farm-fresh ingredients, compared to just 6 events in 2023.
• New Livestock Integration: 5 Red Devon cows, 4 goats, 160 chickens, and 20 new lambs grazed regeneratively to help boost soil health and biodiversity.
• Market Garden Success: Thousands of pounds of produce were sold to market customers & wholesale partners, with 3,500 pounds donated to food relief agencies.
• Infrastructure Upgrades: From a new farmhouse roof to additional guest accommodations and improved signage, the farm has grown to better serve our mission.
• Financial Momentum: Total income increased by 66%, with earned income from hospitality, tours, and events growing by 488% over 2023.
These milestones are just the beginning. As we look to 2025, our focus is on deepening our commitment to education, sustainability, and land health. Our accomplishments and plans are detailed in our 2024 End of Season Report that we will share with you via email, social media, and on our website.
With your support, we can grow even further through:
• Immersive Educational Farmstays: by transitioning to multi-night experiences where families can learn about sustainable farming and clean nutrition while participating in farm chores, workshops, shared meals, and community campfires.
• Expanded Educational Programming: by increasing student field trips (for up to 1,000 children), aligning more educational offerings with state education standards, and offering more frequent workshops for everyone on topics such as composting, mushroom cultivation, season extension techniques, and animal husbandry.
• Key Infrastructure Projects: by building an education-focused barn for animal encounters, installing a new Farmstead well, adding glamping tent campground spaces, and renovating the Alpha House to expand capacity and opportunities for volunteers and overnight guests.
Your generosity makes possible the planting of these seeds with the hope that they will germinate and grow into something extraordinary. With your help, we can continue creating meaningful experiences, inviting new understanding, and cultivating hope for the future of Hungry World Farm, our environment, and the planet.
Thank you for believing in our mission. We hope to earn your trust and support once again this holiday season.
With gratitude,
Sam Ingersoll, Executive Director
