We're renovating Cross-Strauss Parklet!


This beloved playground and half basketball court in the heart of Charles Street Valley is a safe, easy-to-access gathering place for families- and it's in need of repair. We have $318,000 in funds for the projects already in place, and we need your help to raise the final $49,000 plus $46,000 for more energy-efficient lighting!


The concept plan for parklet renovations was informed by community feedback, and includes:


1. Multi-activity climbing structures

2. New fencing (need more funding here)

3. Child-sized tables and chairs

5. Shelter & seating area

6. 1/2 basketball court renovations

7. Surface padding

8. Sensory Boxes 

9. New signage 

10. Landscaping

Our cost-effective renovation plan builds on the existing qualities of the current park to enhance it's value to the community. The design also takes into account the diverse ages and ability ranges of parklet users. Help us make this long-time vision a reality!
