The other day, our rescue’s only car finally bit the dust at over 183,000 miles. We rely solely on this vehicle for all of our rescue work, and have made-do with a small sedan for the last few years which at times made transporting multiple cats, especially traps for TNR, challenging.
Without a vehicle, we cannot continue our work— no cats can be transported to vet appointments, spay/neuter, adoptions, to/from foster, supplies can’t be picked up from local stores, critical TNR and kitten rescue comes to a total stop. A working vehicle is vital to continue operations!
We are hoping to get one that has more space to make it easier to do this work and allow safer, more comfortable transport for multiple cats at a time, as well as to haul larger loads like large amounts of supplies/donations or important bulky items like kennels/traps. The more we can raise, the less we will have to finance and the better the quality we will have the ability to invest in.
