As the days stretch longer and the weather gets warmer there is one important thing on our mind at Black Girls CODE – Summer CAMP!
Did you know that this summer Black Girls CODE will host more than 200 girls at summer camps around the country? Today we are kicking off Countdown to CAMP, a Campaign to support our five summer camp programs and programs that introduce our girls to the world of STEM. These two-week long experiences offer our girls the opportunity to connect with their peers, learn new skills, build confidence, find a community of like-minded leaders, and celebrate their JOY.
Since 2015, BGC has made camp a possibility for any girl who is interested in coding, regardless of their ability to pay. This year, we plan to welcome campers in four cities and online.

About Black Girls CODE:
We build pathways for young women of color to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders and creators by introducing them to skills in computer programming and technology.
Radical action is needed if we are to close the opportunity gap for Black women and girls. We lead a global movement to establish equal representation in the tech sector. Black Girls CODE is devoted to showing the world that Black girls can code and do so much more. Together, we are creating stronger economies and more equitable societies—ultimately realizing the true potential of democracy through diversity and inclusion.
