Construction of St. Eustatius Metabolic Oncology Research Foundation Hospital

A Beacon of Hope

In honor of Grace’s enduring legacy, the St. Eustatius Metabolic Oncology Research Foundation was founded with a transformative vision: to offer holistic cancer treatments to all in need, focusing on young mothers with children, irrespective of the family's ability to pay.

Drawing inspiration from the renowned St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, this foundation aspires to be a beacon of hope for young families grappling with the devastation of cancer. Our mission is clear: to ensure that no child will face life without their mother due to this relentless disease, replacing despair with hope and healing.

Grace’s Story: Inspiration in Tragedy

Grace was more than a beloved sister, daughter, wife, and mother—she was also a nurse with an extraordinary capacity for love and care. Her life was marked by battles, surviving open-heart surgeries at ages 9 and 23. Her profound empathy was demonstrated when, the day after surgery at age 9, she wandered from the ICU against medical advice to comfort the children in the children’s ward.

Yet, the most significant battle came later when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, a risk she knowingly took in hopes of becoming a mother herself. Despite her vigilance, a dismissive medical system overlooked her early warnings, leading to a tragedy that left two young daughters to carry the scars of losing their mother at such a tender age.

Grace’s struggle was not just with cancer but with the hopelessness that often accompanies it. Despite her unwavering trust in her doctor and the healthcare system, her condition worsened, and the tragedy unfolded before her family’s eyes.

Grace’s story is one of both inspiration and heartbreak, illustrating the harsh realities of cancer and the limitations of conventional treatments.

Building a Future of Compassionate Care

Your donations are crucial in turning this vision into reality. They will fund the establishment of Grace’s Health Center, to be situated at the idyllic Lynch Plantation on the Island of St. Eustatius. This center will provide a holistic, metabolic approach to cancer treatment, integrating alternative therapies in a serene environment conducive to healing.

Every dollar you contribute helps build a sanctuary where mothers can receive life-saving care, ensuring they have the chance to watch their children grow.

This campaign is about creating a legacy of hope and compassion, ensuring that Grace’s story is not one of defeat but of a relentless fight against cancer for the sake of all the children who still need their mothers.
