Connectforce began as a COVID emergency response, in which we donated electronic devices to care homes across the UK, to allow the elderly to connect to their loved ones via video call. We have so far donated to over 200 homes, connecting over 8000 residents in the process.
Since then, our work has expanded, and we have begun to develop three digital programmes to help bring older people across the UK to the heart of their communities.
Connectforce Companions – a digital friendship scheme that pairs older people with volunteer companions in the arts sector
Connectforce Calendar – a programme of monthly events with speakers streamed in to older people and care homes
Connectforce Generations – partnering schools with local care homes for them to take part in digital activities
