I am running so the greyhounds don’t have to!
My name is Christine Dorchak and I am the co-founder and President of GREY2K USA Worldwide. On October 25, I will be running a 5K race along Boston's Esplanade to raise funds for the 2,000 greyhounds running for their lives in the USA plus the nearly 50,000 greyhounds now racing worldwide! Please help me earn $50,000 to fund the biggest campaign ever to help these dogs!
Greyhounds like Potato Cakes suffer and die every day at over 80 tracks across the globe each year. Just one year of age, this little Aussie pup fell hard in his fifth race, broke a leg and was summarily destroyed by the Bendigo Racecourse vet. For a greyhound, a broken bone is a death sentence. And days before at the same track, a greyhound named Paw Nickara tumbled at high speed, landed on his head and died on the spot.
We can't let this go on.
