I am running so the greyhounds don’t have to!
My name is Christine Dorchak and I am the co-founder and President of GREY2K USA Worldwide. On June 18, I will be doing a 5K run in Cambridge, Massachusetts to raise funds for the nearly 2,000 greyhounds running for their lives in West Virginia. Please help me raise $25,000 to help launch the biggest campaign ever to ban dog racing at two tracks in the Mountain State.
At Tri-State Greyhound Park and the Wheeling Island Racetrack, 10,000 dogs have been injured since 2008. In 2021 alone, 627 greyhound injuries were reported and twelve dogs died. GT’s Cocobolo had a heart attack at the age of three. One-year-old Flying Betty Lou crushed her skull in a practice race. And poor Living Fast died of a seizure in his cage. He was only two years old.
We can’t let this go on any longer.
