On September 10, I will be doing a 5K run to raise funds for greyhound advocacy and adoption. This date is very special to me as it marks the twenty-ninth anniversary of the day in which my dog Kelsey and I were run down by a speeding train in Boston. This video tells my story of recovery. As I lay helpless in my hospital bed in 1992, I promised that if I ever got up again, I would dedicate my life to saving dogs. Please help me fulfill that dream.
Sponsor me today and GREY2K USA Worldwide will keep shutting down dog tracks and giving vulnerable hounds the second chance they deserve. Kelsey and I got our second chance but greyhounds continue to suffer serious injuries and die at racetracks. There is no “ICU” for the 50,000 dogs now racing in seven countries around the globe. Some dogs are just killed by a heartless industry as soon as they slow down and are “not worth keeping.” I want to help stop this cruel cycle.
This is my sixth #Run4Fun and my goal is to raise $29,000 in Kelsey's honor and in thanks for my 29 years of survival. All proceeds will benefit the historic campaign to pass the US Greyhound Protection Act. Won’t you please help?
