#chessmatters
HBCU Chess Federation was born out of a simple mission: to help make chess widely available to under-served communities. We are accomplishing this by:
◉ Helping to increase accessibility of chess
◉ Providing competitive play for students of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, collegiate and academic institutions, alumni associations, and communities
◉ Facilitating positive platforms to enrich lives and help educate the cognitive, reasoning, and problem-solving skills that chess education provides.
In other words, your donation will help us maintain a community of chess scholars and future leaders who engage in cognitive competition, positive community engagement, and the willingness to continue to push our culture forward!
"Legacy on the board, and a legacy in life!"

The GOOD news is...we've all made it through what is possibly the hardest year we've ever faced! There have been so many changes to the way we teach, but, as educators and advocates we're pushing through and adjusting to our new normal. So, we're super excited to share that we have lots of things in store for 2021! Our tournaments and lessons may be in person or virtual, but #ChessMatters, so 2021...here we come! Please share this campaign, as it has been an extremely hard year for us to continue our work. Don't forget to join our mailing list and follow us on Instragram at @hbcuchess as we add another year of chess legacy!
Thank you for your contribution!
