Diabetes Community Care Team - Outreach

Type 1 diabetes is an incredibly challenging disease.  At the Diabetes Community Care Team we have created a resource to help make life with diabetes more manageable. Between balancing insulin needs which can change hourly, to dealing with insurance companies that refuse to cover vital medical supplies, living with diabetes is extremely trying!  We are here to help!

We have a huge financial burden as we are a new diabetes center and have quite a few start up costs.  We are currently in a 6-month waiting period to receive our non-profit status, which when received will allow us to apply for grants.  RIGHT NOW we need the help of the community in order to keep our doors open! There is an incredible need for this work. We need your help to make it happen.

Our BETA (Buddies, Empower, Teach, and Achieve) mentor program provides education and support for those living with type 1 diabetes.  It is a fun and unique method to understand more about diabetes and be supported by others in the community also living with T1D.

Our charitable pharmacy program can help those who cannot afford their medications.

We have set a goal of raising $100K in 100 days.  Our goal of $100K in 100 days is based on a "normal" blood sugar of 100.  This number is not often seen when managing diabetes, but when it is it has a special meaning to those managing blood sugars 24/7.
