Cecilia "Ceci" Niu Sanford was a happy, sometimes mischievous toddler who wanted nothing more than to keep up with her older sisters. Ceci was ferociously smart. She frequently surprised us with new words, silly faces to make us laugh, and new dance moves during the nightly routine of watching music videos with her sisters (we think her favorite was Taylor Swift). She adored watching the rabbits who gathered in the backyard, being pushed in her swing, and taking trips to our local play gym.
After struggles with motor delay she was found to have an unusual tumor involving the nerves in her lower back. The teams at Children's Medical Center in Dallas were kind, hard-working, and dedicated to helping Ceci.
Tragically, Ceci died suddenly and unexpectedly in her sleep on December 5th, 2022. Ceci was so spoiled and so happy. She is missed beyond comprehension. She will always be remembered by her family. We are determined that Ceci's life will have meaning both through her family and in her community. She will live on through the good we all do for our world.
