My name is Carolina Galvani, and I’m the founder and Executive Director of Sinergia Animal.
For my birthday this year, I don’t want gifts. I don’t want money. I founded Sinergia Animal with my own money back in 2017 - my money, and a loan I couldn’t really afford. When I was nine years old, I decided I wanted to be a journalist to tell stories to make this world a better place. And when I finished university, I decided that I cared more about social justice than about having fancy things, or having a well-paid job in a private company.
Founding Sinergia Animal was a gamble. It paid off. Now, eight years later, Sinergia Animal helps tens of millions of animals every year, and we’ve been named as one of the most effective animal protection organisations in the world for seven consecutive years.
