Autistic Wings Dance Company is a place where autistic dancers can be themselves, quirks and all. We're a "Judgement Free" zone, not caring if dancers are stimming during class, or if they can't look their teachers in the eyes.
Our dancers think they are just learning to move and groove. But, they are learning so much more.
They are learning inversion and eversion of their feet for simple ballet like 1st position, tendus, and rond de jambes, never knowing they are also learning how to walk over uneven surfaces
They are learning pronation and supination as they relive in ballet, never realizing that they are working the same muscles they need to walk and run properly.
They are learning to do pirouettes, never realizing that they are also learning how to balance.
Your gift today will allow us to purchase and buildout a building to create the perfect studio for our dancers. Having our own building will allow us to not only expand our current program, but to add a pre-professional program. It will also help us start building a theatre space for our dancers.
