Organic Soup Kitchen's Capital Campaign 2024

Join us to Prevent Malnutrition & Diet Related Disease – Your Support Can Make a difference

Life threatening malnutrition affects more than 40% of individuals with cancer, diabetes, heart disease or other chronic illnesses. To break the cycle of malnutrition and diet related illness in Santa Barbara County, Organic Soup Kitchen is set to become the first local provider of Medically Tailored Meals (MTM’s).

Why This Campaign Matters

This groundbreaking collaboration with CenCal Health will dramatically expand nutrition access to underserved populations living with a medical diagnosis or recovering from a hospitalization. As our healthcare system embraces “Food as Medicine” and supports equitable access to meals that prevent malnutrition and minimize diet related illness, Organic Soup Kitchen is thrilled to be leading the way. Please join us!

Our Goal: $500,000

CenCal Health has generously pledged $100,000 towards our $500,000 expansion goal. Every dollar will directly support this first of its kind program including resource acquisition for a new cold storage center and administrative facility.

Since 2009, Organic Soup Kitchen has provided millions of SoupMeals to vulnerable community members throughout Santa Barbara County. Join us as we embark on our next journey to more than double our impact. Together, we can interrupt the cycle of malnutrition and diet related illness serving as a beacon of health, hope and vitality.
