Campaign for Cook Forest
Save the hemlocks, replace steel bridges, and strengthen our ability to keep the forest healthy and accessible! Support the Cook Forest Conservancy and help protect and improve the lands, waters, and wildlife of our unique ecosystem. The CFC coordinates the efforts of citizens, other nonprofits, and state agencies, and operates wherever work is needed - animals, trees, and pests don't recognize boundaries between state and private lands, and in terms of conservation, we shouldn't either.
Currently, we're working to replace rusting bridges & keep trails open. Our ongoing educational sessions spread awareness of the invasive hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA), which has destroyed innumerable hemlock groves - and empower landowners to proactively protect this important species. Your gift will enable our educational projects and hikes, our efforts to combat invasive species, and our collaborative works to keep Cook Forest the way you remember it.
Your gift helps us grow, and helps to preserve this place we all love, this last and best vestige of America's old-growth forests: Cook Forest State Park.
