Hello! We are Diaspora Narrative Initiative, an African-led NGO in Germany. We serve as a support system for Africans in the diaspora and their home country. We are running to raise funds and possible support for the victims of the devastating floods that hit some parts of Nigeria recently. We appreciate your interest in our fundraiser.
The floods in parts of Nigeria are on a scale that is hard to imagine. Two-thirds of the States are underwater, and over 1.3 million people have been displaced. The Flooding is expected to continue until the end of November.
There is an increased spread of disease, no food, clothes and necessary supplies have also been disrupted. Presently, Victims of the flood including nursing mothers/pregnant women have been taken to IDP camps.
In cooperation with Contact Us - Enene Akonjom in Nigeria, we are running the campaign to support these groups. Our volunteers on-site have informed us that the most important items which are needed are mosquito nets and mattresses. Donations of all kinds including clothes, mattresses, and food Items are welcome. They can be sent to the Enene Akonjom's address in Nigeria.
