Objective: The goal of our campaign is to empower the C2C (Children2Children) Computer Lab, a vital initiative under the Future Leaders Initiative SL. This lab serves as a hub for free ICT education, providing essential skills and resources to children and adolescents, particularly in underserved communities.
Campaign Impact:
- Enhanced ICT Education: The funds raised will contribute to the expansion of our computer lab, ensuring that more children have access to quality ICT education.
- Community Empowerment: Supporting the lab means empowering communities with digital literacy, a crucial skill for personal and academic development.
- Youth Engagement: The campaign directly involves and engages young volunteers, fostering a sense of community service and leadership.
Campaign Goals:
- Financial Target: Our goal is to raise $8,000 to support the C2C Computer Lab.
- Expanded Reach: The funds will help us reach more communities, with additional computers, table and chairs
- Sustainability: We aim to create a sustainable model, ensuring that the labs are well-equipped, have reliable power sources, and can continue providing free education.
Impact So Far: Since September 2022, we have positively impacted 78 adolescent boys and girls, equipping them with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Publisher. Our long-term vision, by 2030, is to empower 3,072 children with essential computer skills, preparing them to actively contribute to ending violence against children and providing them with valuable life skills.
What We Need:
- Eight Additional Computers: To expand our computer lab capacity and accommodate more learners.
- Generator Fuel: Ensuring uninterrupted power supply for the lab, especially in areas prone to electricity shortages.
Transportation Fare: Facilitating the travel of our volunteers from Freetown to the targeted village, ensuring their presence and active contribution to the lab's operations.
Feeding: Providing nutritious meals for our volunteers during their service, sustaining their energy and commitment to the educational initiatives.
Medications: Supporting health needs by covering medical expenses for our volunteers, ensuring their well-being while they play a crucial role in impacting young lives.
