Above is a rendering of our new facility! We can't wait to see this come to fruition.
With CASP bursting at the seams and now having purchased land to build a facility, CASP will begin the process of building a facility that can house the after school program, the 6th through 12th grade clubs, and provide classes for the Junction community. CASP needs a facility that can accommodate large groups of children, smaller classrooms for secondary clubs, a kitchen, and an outdoor play area. After meeting with an architect to design an effective and efficient building, CASP is raising funds through a community building campaign and through grants. Through our building campaign, we are challenging community members and businesses to sponsor a portion of the build, whether that be the concrete slab, a wall or two, the HVAC unit, the paint, the plumbing, the electricity, Wi-Fi, playscape, wood chips for outdoor play, etc. A detailed estimate will be given on a later post. CASP strives to meet the needs of the community of Junction by providing a safe place for students to be able to walk to CASP after school and be exposed to enriching educational opportunities is the primary goal for building the new facility so close to the school. With easier access to the building, more secondary students can engage in the weekly clubs offered to them. More space means CASP can offer ESL, GED, cooking, and other classes for the adult community of Junction to truly meet the goal of a family center. CASP needs the space to explore new possibilities and adequately and efficiently run the programs that already exist in the organization.
