Gambia is one the poorest countries with a high population of orphans. The absence of parents means that vulnerable children may have no access to health, education and food. Most of the orphans will also come from disadvantaged backgrounds increasing the need for support. It is our duty to lend our help to the vulnerable orphans of Gambia, they all deserve a bright future full of smiles and we need your help to fulfil this!
We hope to use the Orphanage Project to fulfil their basic needs and ensure all orphans receive an Quranic education. The first stage will involve use of your funds to purchase a sufficiently sized land for £25,000 to accommodate a Masjid for congregational prayers and to provide a safe space for the children to memorise Quran. An out-building will be used to shelter and care for the orphans with nutritious meals. We also plan to build a farming/agricultural area on site, this will be used to feed the orphans as well a mechanism to make the Orphanage self-sustainable.
