Dear Buffalo Baseball Supporter:
The start of the 2023 Smoky Hill High School Buffaloes Baseball season is just around the corner and with it comes the anticipation of a championship year! The Smoky Hill High School baseball program, under the guidance of Coach Eric Askew, includes approximately 65 players. We are very proud of our program and hope this letter provides you with some background information on one of the nation’s best high school programs. We are also seeking your support.
A top caliber baseball program is funded almost entirely by fundraising and parent donations. Our School District funds contribute less than 5% of our annual expenses. The Buffs Baseball Booster Club is in the process of launching our annual fundraisers which will include the Mickman Wreath Sale, Buffaloes Pancake Breakfast and “A Nite Out”. Each of these events are imperative to our program as they will help with field and facility improvements, travel as well as new uniforms for the Buffaloes.
Our objective is to raise funds for the program in order to continue to provide our student athletes a well-equipped baseball program. Besides baseball excellence, our players perform well in the class rooms with a team GPA of 3.2; as well as each player completes more than 15 hours individual community service.
