Bringing Light to the Himalayas
In the high-altitude valleys of Lahaul and Spiti, access to basic eye care is limited—but the need is urgent. Conditions like cataracts, dry-eye syndrome, and UV-related damage are common, even among the young. Left untreated, these conditions can lead to preventable blindness.
This year, Live to Love International, in partnership with the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology (TIO) and the Young Drukpa Association Garsha (YDA Garsha), is hosting its 13th Himalayan Eye Camp in Keylong, Himachal Pradesh.
Together with expert doctors and local volunteers, we are working to:
Provide over 3,000 screenings in remote villages
Restore sight for at least 150 individuals
Reach 250+ villages with education and early intervention
Since 2009, LTL and our partners have reached more than 22,000 people across the Himalayas, restoring vision for over 3,000 individuals—always at no cost to the patient.
Here’s how you can help:
❤️ $60 – Covers post-operative care for one patient
❤️ $350 – Supports one cataract surgery
❤️ $1000 – Funds screenings for 30 people
This is a collective effort rooted in trust, local knowledge, and long-standing partnerships. Every contribution supports not just a procedure, but a person—often a parent, grandparent, or child—reclaiming their independence and dignity.
