Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women (excluding non-melanoma skin cancers). There are over 3.1 million breast cancer survivors, including women still being treated and those who have completed treatment.
Breast cancer can also occur in men, but it is not common. Breast cancer awareness is an effort to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of breast cancer through education on symptoms and treatment
We raise funds to help fund patient-focused research for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of breast cancer.

On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. Breast cancer accounts for approximately 25% of new cases of cancer and 13% of all cancer deaths in Canadian women.
In 2019 an estimated 26,900 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 5,000 can die of it.
