BLKGURL_ is an Ottawa Based grassroots collective dedicated to creating space, building community and uplifting Black women and gender diverse folks!
We are seeking to raise funds to further support our events and initiatives.
We are also seeking funds to continue our partnerships and collaborations with local Black owned businesses so we can fund new fundraising efforts while paying Black folks for their labour.
We are also seeking to develop a BLKGURL FUND. This would be money that would be distributed to our participants through food and gift cards to allow for the continuous support of our participants.
From our BlackThots Book Club, a picnic for BLK WOMXN to throwing a prom for Black Womxn in Ottawa @BLKGURL_ is dedicated to our mission to celebrate Black Womxn and GNC folks and a donation would be directly supporting these efforts and this community.
These efforts cannot be continued without community and we thank you for your support.
