X (10) years ago, our founder, Kimberly Bryant, saw that Black Girls were being largely left behind in STEM. Frustrated with the status quo, she launched Black Girls CODE to close the opportunity gap for Black women and girls in the STEM field. Since its founding in 2011, Black Girls CODE has been helping Black girls all over the world change the face of technology. Our vision is to create stronger economies and more equitable societies through our innovative programs. We encourage Black girls to explore their passion in science, tech, engineering and math in workshops, activities, summer camps, and clubs across the county.
In honor of our X (10th) anniversary and the community and movement that has grown out of Black Girls CODE, we are launching The Next X: Black Girls CODE the FUTURE to support our programs and provide scholarships to our girls. Black Girls CODE brings programs to 15 communities around the world and empowers Black girls to become the technology leaders of tomorrow.
Join us for our X anniversary campaign as we chart out what the next X will bring. Your support today will help us achieve our goal of launching 1 million new tech bosses by 2040.
