Revival is all about soul-winning, and soul-winning is preaching the word of God and giving someone an opportunity to give their lives to Christ and save them from going to hell. Right now, in Liberia, revival is breaking out, and they need our help with Bibles, revival books, and a myriad of ministry expenses, including transportation and building new churches. Here's a letter from Pastor Momo, one of our ministers with Revivalfire Ministries, explaining the situation and the need there:
Liberia had been founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, just like the U.S. was, but over the last couple of generations, Liberia has fallen deeply into witchcraft and idolatry. The darkness has been deep, but once we began bringing the Light of the Gospel, the people remembered the Grace of God that had once been prevalent in Liberia, and wherever we have brought this Gospel message, souls have flocked to the altars night after night.
In 2014, we started winning souls in 120 villages in ten counties across Liberia, West Africa. Since that time, we have won over 30,000 souls and have seen 900 souls healed from different kinds of illnesses.
Our soul-winning strategy has been to go into villages and towns with revivals and crusades, preaching and teaching the good news of Jesus Christ. We give materials like Bibles, Gospel tracts, and Four Steps to Revival books to those who are saved but cannot afford to purchase a Bible for themselves. We use these materials to rescue the Lord’s souls from darkness to light. You can stop someone from going to hell just by donating a bible to a soul for Christ.
In many villages and towns that we go to, there is no church, therefore, when souls are saved in huge numbers, we must establish a church for them to worship in. In most cases, we have to construct a building for a church for all these new souls. We also have to train and support one or two persons who are willing to make the sacrifice to stay and pastor these new souls in that village or town.
Our Challenges: To win more souls for the Lord, we need more tracts, Bibles, and Revival books, and many other items for the meetings.
Because of the bad road conditions in the villages, we can’t reach certain areas because they are not accessible by car. Only motorbikes can reach these places. We are really in need of four motorbikes for the soul-winning teams.
