About the Project
'Because I Can' chronicles Allié’s personal journey as she trains for the Philadelphia Marathon after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). Alongside her lifelong friend Angie, since the age of 3, Allié is raising awareness and funds for MS research and support. But this documentary is about more than just a race—it's about the resilience of the human spirit.
In this film, Allié not only shares her own struggles and triumphs, but also highlights the journeys of three other remarkable individuals living with MS—a celebrated actress and model in Los Angeles, a dedicated advocate in Michigan, and a talented artist in Paris. Together, their stories weave a powerful narrative about the unyielding determination to face life's challenges.
