Join the Stronger Community Initiative
What would you like to see in your community?
Safer streets. Better roads. Thriving local businesses. Affordable housing options as life situations change. Walkable neighborhoods. Beautiful parks. Strong schools. Lower taxes. Communities where people know their neighbors and are proud to call the place home.
We all want the same destination.
The question is: How do we get there?
The answer won't come from electing one person. It will come from informed, engaged citizens working together.
That's why we're launching the Stronger Community Initiative, a community movement that combines learning, volunteerism, and civic engagement to help shape the future of Southwest Baltimore County.
Together we'll:
- Participate in Community Conversations
- Explore neighborhoods through Community Walks
- Organize volunteer projects and neighborhood clean-ups
- Learn from planners, engineers, and community leaders
- Participate in local planning and public meetings
- Build a shared vision for stronger communities
This is a campaign fundraiser that's an investment in a long-term movement to educate, connect, and empower our community.
Don't just help elect a councilmember. Help build a movement.
Current Community Conversation
Strong Towns
By Charles L. Marohn, Jr.
Our current Community Conversation held explores one of the most influential books on community development in America.
Strong Towns examines why communities struggle to maintain roads, infrastructure, and public services despite continued growth—and offers practical ideas for building financially resilient, economically vibrant neighborhoods.
Whether you're a resident, business owner, student, planner, contractor, or simply someone who cares about your community, this conversation will change the way you think about growth.
