I’m Paul Dongarra, and I’m running for Baltimore County Council to build stronger, more resilient communities that put people first. As a former business owner and
longtime community advocate, I’ve seen firsthand how decisions driven by special interests — not people — have shaped our county.
For too long, special-interest-led suburban sprawl has stretched resources thin, neglected legacy neighborhoods and left schools and public safety underfunded. Now, it even threatens our drinking water.
My plan addresses this main challenge and proposes a new path through community led redevelopment to harness the power of our opportunities, strengthens our institutional connections and builds off previous investments to create vibrant communities that also preserve our historical character.
My campaign is entirely funded by everyday citizens through Baltimore County’s public financing program — no money from developers, lobbyists, or special interests. That means every decision I make will be grounded in what benefits all of us.
