Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance and are unable to afford necessities to improve their quality of life.
Tesha was born on August 4, 2023, with a dangerous disease - Hydrocephalus (a neurological disorder caused by an abnormal buildup of fluid in the ventricles deep within the brain).
Day by day her head keeps increasing, and the last hope is surgery…
Tesha is the 4th child in her family, her father works as a carpenter, earning roughly $180 a month, and her mother is at home, taking care of the children. This family is barely surviving on the mere income they can provide and Tesha’s surgery is an unimaginable expense that they can’t afford.
Tesha’s mother turned to Maya’s Hope asking for her daughter’s life-saving surgery.
Time is not on our side.
The excess fluid causes the ventricles to widen, putting harmful pressure on Tesha’s brain's tissues and it can lead to disastrous consequences affecting this little girl’s whole life.
Can we count on your support? Can you help Tesha get the life-changing surgery?
