Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance and are unable to afford necessities to improve their quality of life.
Rhainier is 4 years old and has microcephaly and cerebral palsy. His father lost his job when the pandemic started which has put a huge strain on the family. He is currently selling duck eggs at the market and earns around $100 monthly to support his family.Rhainier was hospitalized in January and April due to his lung disease and the family had to take out a loan, which is around $140, to pay for his hospital care. This amount is clearly more than their income and they are still paying off this loan aside from trying to meet their monthly expenses which are also around $140. Rhainier has also lost weight since being sick.
Because of your generous donations, they are able to slowly pay off their loans a little at a time and Rhainier is on his way to recovery and gaining back the weight he has lost. They are still struggling as there are still frequent lockdowns and their income has not improved.
Times are still tough for this family and they need a little help to get back on their feet. Can you help us provide Rhainier with essentials such as formula, vitamins and diapers? Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm raising money for Maya's Hope and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. And if you decide to give, you can choose who can see that you donated or donate privately.
