The Opera Buffs Inc. and Hispanics for LA Opera are thrilled to present a new vocal competition specifically geared for young, classical vocalists, ages 16-22, in the Los Angeles area. We are very excited to highlight the rich and vast Spanish art song repertoire in this competition along with traditional operatic repertoire.
This competition is unique to the LA area in that it is specifically geared towards high school and early college aged students. Our mission in creating a competition for this younger cohort of singers is not only provide financial support to those interested in pursuing a career in opera, but we will also provide valuable educational resources and networking opportunities, all to encourage and support their journeys as artists.
