We are launching a fundraising campaign to expand arts enrichment programs at Aldama Elementary!!
Aldama is a LAUSD Title 1 school in Highland Park, Los Angeles, CA, with a dual-language Spanish/English immersion program, and has been a part of the community since 1924. Aldama Administrators, Teachers, and the PTA have a commitment to the arts - we believe in increased and equitable access to a complete curriculum that includes a quality arts education. As a community, we need support sustaining and expanding the programs at Aldama elementary, providing students with more opportunities to have an enriched arts education.
We are hosting an event to support our fundraising!
Formerly Bites for Bucks, this event is now called ¡ARTES PARA ALDAMA! A Fundraiser for Elementary Arts Education. It will be held at Avenue 50 Art Studio, 131 N Ave 50, 90042, on June 3, 2023, from 6-10 pm, and is for adults only! Many people are coming together to create a successful event, and all contributions will go directly toward creating arts enrichment programs for the students at Aldama. There will be live entertainment, auction items, dancing, raffles, and so much more!! This is going to be a great party, and a community event - you don't want to miss it!
Located just down the street from Aldama, the Ave 50 Studio is an arts presentation organization grounded in Chicana/o/x and Latina/o/x culture, visual arts, and the Northeast Los Angeles area. The organization “seeks to bridge cultures through artistic expressions, using content-driven art to educate and stimulate intercultural understanding.” We are thrilled to be holding our event in their space.
An arts education is essential to a child’s wellbeing, and prepares them for success. Providing students with an arts education enriches their lives - supporting social and emotional learning, including teaching how to navigate emotions and have compassion for others. In a post-pandemic world, our children need these programs more than ever.
Our support for these programs not only benefits the education of Aldama students, but also enriches our greater community. Your contributions extend far beyond this event itself, and there are many ways to support our mission!

BUY TICKETS!! Attend the event on June 3rd! Invite friends to come - this party is for everyone! Tickets are $30 each/$50 for 2. For $100, you can buy a 4 tickets - 2 for you, 2 to sponsor others needing support attending. Tickets include entrance, food, and a raffle ticket! There will be a bar & drink tickets will be available for a cash donation.
DONATE!! Any cash contributions are needed and welcome! It’s super easy to donate via our website! Anything you can give will help support our mission! *link to the website or the. Main page, donate above/here etc*
SPONSOR!! We plan to make this a successful yearly event, and we need founding sponsors!! With a cash donation, all sponsors will be recognized as a sponsor of the arts program at Aldama. You can also donate items for the bar and food! ! We hope to cross-promote local businesses, and encourage community support.

DONATE AUCTION ITEMS! The bulk of our fundraising will be done with our auction! We need donations that we can auction off at the event - items can include services, gift baskets, event tickets, classes, experiences, airbnb rentals, & more! You can provide a gift basket as a family, a class can donate the bar, a business can provide party rentals!
