Who we are ?
arcenciel's story started with scouts and individuals affected by war, united to support and integrate marginalized people.
We began in the 1980s with a vision of inclusivity and community empowerment. Today, our work includes people of all genders and backgrounds, reflecting our commitment to non-discrimination.
Operating from 12 centers across Lebanon, arcenciel's main goal is to work with every person in need across the Lebanese territory.
What We Do
arcenciel is a multifaceted organization, addressing various societal needs through innovative and sustainable programs.
Diverse Programs: Our essential programs include Agriculture, Mobility, Environment, Youth, Health and Social services.
Social Enterprises: Our centers function as social enterprises, generating income to sustain our activities while directly benefiting the communities we serve.
This model ensures financial autonomy and the continued impact of our initiatives. We used to be 85% independent, relying only 15% on donations. Due to Lebanon’s ongoing crises, our independence has reduced to 50%, making donor support crucial.
Community Engagement: We actively engage with local communities through workshops, training sessions, and support services, ensuring our efforts are both inclusive and effective.
