Angel David was born with a frontal encephalocele.
Encephalocele is a sac-like protrusion or projection of the brain and the membranes that cover it through an opening in the skull. Encephalocele happens when the neural tube does not close completely during pregnancy.
We came across his mother's Facebook page and asked our field workers to reach out to see if we could help with the surgery. And Maya's Hope did. He requires a second surgery, but it will wait to be scheduled.
Maya's Hope has been providing assistance to help him thrive.
Can you help contribute and provide formula, diapers, and more? Thank you!
Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance and are unable to afford necessities to improve their quality of life.
Maya’s Hope helps disadvantaged children living in poverty and helps provide hope by instilling value and purpose in each child. We are celebrating 10 years of bringing hope to children around the world.
