All Hearts Come Home for the Holidays is UPAN’s annual gift program for children in Utah who have a parent incarcerated in the state prison system. No child should feel forgotten at Christmas, and this campaign helps bridge the distance between incarcerated parents and their kids with a simple message: one child, one gift, one hope. Families and friends of children with incarcerated parents in Utah can submit the names of their children (ages 0–18) along with one wish or essential need. UPAN volunteers then match those wishes with community sponsors and donors, who purchase gifts or gift cards that are shipped directly to the child’s caregiver while keeping everyone’s personal information confidential.
How the Program Works
Families of incarcerated parents share each child’s age, interests, and needs.
UPAN volunteers and sponsors “adopt” wishes and purchase gifts or gift cards.
When a wish can’t be filled directly, we provide a $25 gift card so caregivers can shop for their child.
How to Donate
Make an online donation on this page, or mail a check to P.O. Box 33, Layton, UT 84041
Fulfill a child's Amazon Wishlist item and it will be mailed directly to them

Our 2025 Goal
In our first year of the program in 2024, the All Hearts community provided holiday gifts to 353 children with an incarcerated parent in Utah. This year, we’re stretching further with a goal of reaching at least 400 children across Utah (approximately 170 wishes fulfilled so far in 2025). Your donation helps us fill remaining wishes, provide $25 gift cards when specific items can’t be purchased, and cover shipping and program costs so every child on our list feels seen, remembered, and loved.
New in 2025! Karen Thompson, our organizer and UPAN Director of Special Projects has created a new All Hearts Come Home for the Holidays Facebook Group where volunteers and donors may communicate and ask questions. Join here: https://bit.ly/AllHeartsComeHomeForTheHolidays2025
How Your Gift Helps
Your donation today goes directly toward:
Purchasing gifts and $25 gift cards for children with an incarcerated parent
Covering shipping, packaging, and basic program costs so gifts arrive on time
Supporting outreach at events like the Nebo Holiday Chorus & Orchestra's Handel's Messiah Benefit Concert performances at Maple Mountain High School (Dec. 20 & 22), where UPAN shares information, answers questions, and accepts donations. More info at https://www.nhco.events/.
The Utah Prisoner Advocate Network (UPAN) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your tax-deductible charitable gift today directly supports children and families impacted by incarceration and helps us continue our year-round advocacy, education, and support work across Utah. Every dollar helps close the gap so no child in this year’s program is left without a gift. Thank you for helping all hearts come home for the holidays and for standing with children and families impacted by incarceration in Utah.
