Thank you to everyone who has contributed, volunteered, or taken time to hear what I’m proposing for Southside. As we enter October, I want to share where the campaign stands and what your support will help us do next.
Public support
Our campaign has received endorsements from the Peace and Freedom Party of California and Friends of the Filipino American Community PAC, along with a shared endorsement from FLIP Berkeley City Council. Former Berkeley City Councilmember Cheryl Davila also supports my candidacy in her individual capacity.
Answers you can read and share
The Berkeley Scanner published my candidate questionnaire on September 25. It covers my public-service record, housing stability, public space, emergency preparedness, and how I will remain accessible to residents when elected. You can also watch my FLIP interview and read my written answers.

What I’m asking Berkeley to do
Build more affordable housing and protect the homes people already depend on. Treat parks, public restrooms, trees, and gathering places as necessities. Repair the streets and sidewalks people use every day, with clear responsibility and public follow-through.
Bowditch Commons is a central proposal in that work: coordinated planning for public space and street improvements, with an enforceable community-benefits agreement with UC Berkeley addressing public access and the promised housing program. It is a proposal I am advancing, and it will require public participation, institutional agreement, and funding.
My organizing at People’s Park and work on the Homeless Commission inform these commitments. Residents deserve a meaningful role before decisions are made, and a way to see whether those decisions deliver.
What your donation supports now
Our immediate work is reaching District 7 voters with campaign materials and direct conversations. Contributions support printing, voter outreach, volunteer organizing, and campaign operations.
If you have not reached this campaign’s $60 contribution limit for the election cycle, please contribute what you can within your remaining limit. Sharing this page or joining the volunteer team also helps us reach more neighbors.
For Southside. For Berkeley. For All of Us.
