Most people hear “animal shelter” and think we will solely focus on homeless animals. In reality, our reach will extend far beyond providing animals with care and shelter. AGC will be more than a shelter, it will be a community hub that connects people with people, people with animals, and animals with homes. Recent studies have proven that even short interactions with animals reduce cortisol levels, lower blood pressure, and improve mental health. We are so excited to get people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities involved to experience the benefits of animal interaction and advocacy.

You are changing their world and just as importantly, the lives of all the people who walk through the our doors. AGC provides a common purpose in a divided world and will provide an anchoring point for Henry County. We all need companionship, love and interaction.
