Against Malaria Foundation France

For my birthday this year, I am doing a fundraiser for effective charities. 

For France/Switzerland I set up this fundraiser here via Mieux Donner, specifically for the Against Malaria Foundation (AMF). 

For those of you outside of France, you’re lucky to have a much bigger selection than we do! You can go for AMF, or pick another cause that is closest to your heart, like fighting poverty, mitigating climate change, supporting animal welfare, or safeguarding the future.

If you’re outside of France, I recommend using your local effective giving websites (see a list I compiled below for the locations of most of you - ie NOT via this page) based on where you are (as the tax implications differ by country). 

Here are the best ways to donate while making sure your gift is tax-deductible in your country:

🇫🇷 France / 🇨🇭 Switzerland: You can donate to Against Malaria Foundation directly via the fundraiser page that you are on right now! In France, it is 66% tax-deductible, so you can essentially triple your impact for the same out-of-pocket cost. The donations go via Mieux Donner, which is what I use for my personal donations. You can see some of the impact of my 2025 personal donations in the image below, it’s quite impressive even for donations that feel very manageable to my budget! It is a very simple process and you get two-thirds of your donation back at the end of the tax year as a FR fiscal resident.
