Gi❤️ing Tuesday 2024

A little support goes a long way. What if we all gave on one day? We can! Join us on December 3 for 24 hours of giving to support American Friends of PSE on #GivingTuesday.

The American Friends of PSE in a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) established to provide financial support to Pour un Sourire d'Enfant (PSE), a humanitarian children's aid association that has operated in Cambodia for more than 25 years. We help fund the education of Cambodia's most impoverished children in proven, comprehensive programs that extend beyond education and professional training to nutrition, health care, wellbeing, and protective services.

Our 2024 Giving Tuesday campaign is to raise funds for the Boarding School.

  • This year, PSE has assisted 562 children in the Boarding School, a residential program for youth who cannot live at home, many of whom face the risk of violence and abuse.
  • Eighty percent of participants are over 15 years old, and 57 percent are female.
  • This year, food, lodging, and care in the Boarding School cost $51 per student.

Our year-end outreach efforts seek additional funding for a core program of PSE in Cambodia, the Boarding School.

DO YOU REMEMBER KARUNA?

"Thanks to Pour un Sourire d'Enfant, my life has changed. I am very lucky to have been here because I received a good education, food, care, housing, and love!"

— Karuna

Karuna started at PSE at age 8 after a tumultuous early childhood. She studied for 14 years, both in the Boarding School and then living in the dormitory while she pursued vocational training. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in human resources from the PSE School of Management and Sales and was hired by BRED Bank as a Finance and Payments Officer.
